Second Month of the 3rd Year
High: The weather here is really quite spectacular. We are heading into “summer” – hard to wrap my head around the reverse climate here. The days are bright sunshine; the temperatures moderate. The rainy season is coming. The storms are fantastic, but only for a couple hours in the evening. I have be careful to leave school and walk home before the torrential down pour that floods the streets. Literally have to roll up your pants to walk after a down pour! Pool downstairs in our apartment “complex” is a treat!
Low: Trying to decide what to do next year. Our contracts are up, we can surely renew…hard to be in limbo.
Glitter: We took a trip to the west, 3 days in a dug out canoe camping on a river (a bit of a challenge for those of us with ADD), and three days climbing the spectacular Tsingy, lime stone jagged mountains! So amazing, so challenging, such a wonderful surprise.
